I’m getting the canvases ready for my retreat with Julia Snyder.  There are several perks that a store owner has — one of them is being able to start on her retreat canvas early. Never mind that I haven’t finished the others — they are in progress.  I am doing one of Lani’s kimonos — her beautiful gold and red kimono.  It is on the stretcher bars and most threads are pulled.  So tomorrow night — a birthday present to myself — I get to start.  My husband is out of town and I will be able to enjoy this canvas all by myself.

Isn’t she gorgeous — just perfect to work on.  don’t worry I am still working on the woody — getting the ocean and the palm trees done — want to finish them before I go on to another section.
