Had classes at market today.Got to take a class from Sandra Arthur. What a wonderful experinece. Introduced and re-introduced me to so many things — felting, ruching, sequins, beads, Japanese ribbon stitches. Got to try new threads. Enjoy Blossom Bay.
We are moving into July with stars in our eyes. The store has been set, rearranged and rearranged again. But we are home and loving every minute. Raymond Crawford has done a star proclaiming Mele Kalikimaka. What a great way to get our Christmas things done. I’m making mine all sparkly — check me out next week and I will show you how far I have gotten.
Sending out an ALOHA to all , by way of & More’s wonderful Aloha sign. Counted the pattern to fit the center column and had to make adjustments to the two end columns. So I added a little border with Alternating Scotch Stitch. It will be perfect to hang in my window to show that we are open. Come see the new space.
I am moved (well almost) and open at a new location. You can find us at 1134 S. King St., Honolulu, HI 96814 (cross streets are Pensacola and Piikio). There is metered parking on the street but also there are about 6-8 customer spaces in the rear. Just turn left into the one lane driveway just after the sign that reads “King St. Apt Hotel”. Then come around the front to my front door. Phone number is still the same at 808 591-0377. But I have a new email address — email@example.com.
It is a wonderful space that is full of canvases and threads that you can use. Come and see me!!
The old space is beginning to look bare. Inventory is getting packed up and things will start to move next week. Carpet is going in today. The new space is wonderful — it will be gorgeous. It is always great to move into a new space that was been cleaned, painted and organized. I will be closed after today but still available for phone calls and emails.
It is in a row of little stores with parking in the back. It will be fun to be in.
As you can see, it is a little empty. There is a lot of work to do — cleaning, painting, carpet to install, fixtures in put in. Just starting to make arrangements for everything.
Good news — the phone number and website will stay the same. Bad news — everything else will change — address, email address, etc. So will keep you posted.
Aloha all. Hope everyone is having a great May Day — after all May Day is Lei Day in Hawaii. It is just a wonderful excuse to enjoy a beautiful lei.
I’ve been working on the store — I am downsizing to get lean and compact. Building has been sold but things take awhile so I have time to figure out the best place for me to go to. So for the month of May, I am offering Tiara, Hilights, Rayon Ribbon Floss and Serica at 40% off. This is limited to in stock threads only.
I am so excited!! Georg James has designed a canvas of my FAVORITE flower — the bird of paradise. They even named it after me — Gussie’s Birds. The flowers are so graceful and gorgeous. They were kind enough to paint one on 18 mesh for me and the stitch guide is almost done. This one makes four very beautiful canvases for a spectacular wall grouping.
